Ladies Indoor Bias Bowls:

Congratulations to Rosny Park Div. 1 Ladies Indoor Bias Bowls team for winning the Southern Pennant in a very closely contested final against Sorell Bowls Club.

Unfortunately Lori Pickin, Phyl Berry, Sue Seabourne and Sue Edmondson were unavailable for selection to play in the State Championships.  The teams of Ailsa Milburn (Skip) Edith Atkinson (3) Bev. Gillie (2) Bev. Parker (Lead) and Caralyn Walsh (Skip) Bev. Scott (3) Vi Kitchin (2) May Frogson (Lead) travelled to Somerset, and were successful in defeating the Devonport teams to win the State Pennant Final.

The Australian Indoor Championships were held in Terrigal, N.S.W. in the last week in August.  Ailsa Milburn skipped a state fours team and they went on to win a silver medal.  Caralyn Walsh was selected in the Australian Test Squad to trial in Melbourne in January, and if successful will play in New Zealand later in 2007.
