Club Championships
The Draw has been done for all competitions now. Please try and get games played before the due date, especially the Open Singles & Open Pairs as they must be completed so our winners can go on to play in the Champion of Champions tournament.
Australian Open Qualifying
Congratulations to Pat Hoffman (Lead), David Genford (Two) who teamed up with Robert McMullen (Sandy Bay) to qualify for the Australian Open Triples tournament.
David & Pat both narrowly missed out in the Singles, both finishing second with David (teamed with R McMullen) also finishing second in the Pairs. Pat & Chris Lee played three matches, all very close, going to tie breaks but could only win one of those matches.
Pat & David now play in the Aus Open in February, good luck!
New Years Eve Celebration
On the 31st Dec the club will be holding a NYE Celebration. The cost is $25, with music supplied from Julie Miller. Starting time is 7 for 7:30. If you are keen please sign up at the club.
Rosny Christmas Carnival
On Wednesday the 28th of December Rosny is holding a $1000 Triples Carnival. Sponosred by DJ Motors & RACT, teams can be made of men, ladies or mixed for 2 Games of 18 ends. Starts at 12:30 and cost is $5 per player.
STBA Pairs
The STBA Pairs close on the 4th of January. If you intend to play please get your entries in ASAP.
Fact or Fiction?
Another Match Manager story this week although I'm not sure who it was.
This time it was a Midweek match manager who after watching his side gain maximum points preceded to sign a score sheet giving the opposition all the points! It wasn't until our eagle eyed statistician noticed the error and let the STBA know that the points were awarded to Rosny. That would have been a tough one to explain to the team!
